It's a rainy afternoon.

I'm not complaining. We really need the rain -- it's the driest July on record in the DC area. But what to do at home? Luckily, Paul and Maggie are quite creative...

This is Maggie's princess. She's making a comic book.

Paul's articulated headless horseman (he's obsessed with the book and the movie.)

He also made a horse...

Gee. I was just going to make cookies or something (I'll always pick cooking as the first activity of choice), but what they're doing is waaayyyyy more interesting.

I still may make those cookies...

Between us, four shows in four days.

This is from Saturday night. (The Hot Noodles' Grateful Dead tribute at New Deal.) Also, I got to see Wilco twice in three days (more on this in a later post... I'm trying to go pro on the lazy circuit right now.) If I go to Norway and Sweden, I can do it again this summer. Sigh.

What are you doing Saturday night?

I know where I'll be... And I hope to hang out with some of my nearest and dearest. Or make some new friends. Either way, hope that you'll come out and show your love for one of our favorite bands!

Hot Noodles this Saturday Night

The Hot Noodles plays a Grateful Dead show from the vault: July 1989. Twenty years ago. For some reason, there are a lot of people that we know that attended these RFK shows, although we didn't know them at the time. Coincidence?

The Noodles will be at our favorite Greenbelt, Maryland establishment, the New Deal Cafe, 8:00 to 11:00pm. Hope to see many friends there...and maybe 20 years from now you'll be talking about who you met on Saturday, July 11, at the Hot Hot Noodles show. It is entirely possible.
